Kameron Wiles walked slowly up and down the many aisles of books, enchanted, normal, whatever they may be. She was trying to pick out a good interesting one to occupy herself while she was bored. As she broswed through the never-ending selection, she hoped she would bump into someone so she wouldn't be so bored.

That was exactly what she got. Someone wearing a black cloak wasn't paying attention to where he was going, so he accidently bumped into her, sending her flying. He fell to the ground, dropping a single book he had in his hands. "Oof!" A very small dragon-like creature flew in the air around his head.

"Ah!" Kameron said almost to herself as she hit the floor. She rubbed her backside, looking up at the small dragon-like creature. "Kam Wiles," she stammered, not bothering to rise to her feet yet. She looked at the boy, then back up at the little critter circling his head.

Xero shook his head. "Xero Raelthyw." He said, grabbing for the book. He brushed himself off as he got up. "Calm down, Istrywa, will you? I'm not hurt..." He told the dragling. It flew to his index finger, wrapping around it. It was colored a deep black, same color as the gunmetal color of Xero's skin.

"Dragling?" Kam asked curiously, raising an eyebrow at the little creature. It looked like a tiny, miniature dragon. "I've never heard--or seen--a dragling," she said, hoping that he would fill her in on the animal. It looked like a loyal pet, and it was absolutely adorable!

"Well, then, you might want this." He said, passing her a tiny egg about a bit bigger than a marble. "Dragling egg. I have several. They should become quite common around here if they hatch... as for learning about them..." He passed her a small journal. "This contains a copy of all the notes I've taken on Ist here." Ist yawned, seeming to bask in admiration of himself.

"Uh... thanks," Kam said, accepting the small egg into the palm of her hand. She gently took the notebook and flipped through the pages, skimming through Xero's notes. "Wow, I can see you like magical creatures. Are you new to this school?" She asked, hoping to start conversation.

"Yes." That was it. A one word answer. His eyes were piercing, with his red irises seeming very intense. He was a loner. It was amazing that he had even spoken that much before. And he seemed to shut down the conversation, flipping through the book on crystals.

Maria entered the library, scratches still visable on her from her encounter with the basilisk. She turned the corner, and ran into Kam and another boy. Smiling smally, she said,"Wow Kam. We keep running into her. I see you more than my twin now a days!"ning red, she looked to the boy.
My names Maria. Maria Thastria." She stood there, waiting to see if anyone would reply. Clover mewed from her pocket and jumped out. Turning huge, his leopard form took over. He sat next to her. Her eyes were cold now. She hadnt had a good day.

Xero glanced up. "Xero Raelthyw." He looked back at the book again. Ist, interested, detached from his thumb, and flew over to examine the new leopard, making a purring sound.
