Kairi was sitting down on a boulder and was drawing the woods in her light colored journal. Oh, how much she loved to draw. It really brung out her personality because of the fact she doesn't say much. How timid she could be, but fearless. Why would a small girl be sitting out in the Doomed Woods alone? She could take care of herself. She was sure of it.
Kairi couldn't get things right. Everytime in class she'd make herself the Joke of the Day. She doesn't belong here. She knew it too. She hated being the new student and no one's helped her out since she arrived here. I have no friends, I have no ability to be a good witch. She sighed and went back to drawing a crooked tree. There's no hope left.

Kameron Wiles was wandering silently through the Doomed Woods, hoping to run into something to do, a tree to climb, a creature to observe. But no, nothing interesting between these lonely trees today, except a petite girl sitting on a boulder with a notebook, it looked like.
Kam walked closer, trying to see if she could tell who the girl was. She didn't recall ever seeing this person before. Must be a new student, Kam thought, pausing in her tracks. A twig snapped under her shoe. He looked up, and walked over to the girl, deciding to find out who she was.
"Hi...I've never seen you around here before. I'm Kameron Wiles. Kam for short. Are you new here?" she introduced herself, hoping the timid girl would respond.

Kairi was busy drawing the rugged ground of the woods, when she looked up from her notebook hearing a girl's voice. She took a look at her with her dark, deep sea blue eyes.
"Hi."
she said so quietly, it was almost a whisper and was rather quick with a soft voice. She immediately went back to her drawing, ignoring the unknown girl's question.

Kameron wondered if the girl, her name still unknown, had not realized that Kam was wondering her name, or if she possibly had not understood or even heard her question. Maybe she was not the type to answer a person who interrogates too frequently, or even at first glance. Kam figured she was just shy. "You've got a name?" she asked in a softer tone, grinning slightly to comfort the girl a bit more instead of up front interrogating.
She hoped this girl was not ignoring her because she thought she was obnoxious in some way. After all, they have barely met, and had hopes that they could maybe form a friendship.
She waited to see if the girl would reply to her question this time around.

She continued to draw in her journal when she announced "Kairi.", her name, again without looking at this odd girl. She wasn't in the mood to talk, and she figured she'd just be like everyone else and take a laugh at her. At least she's nice so far. she thought.
Kairi stopped her drawing suddenly and looked up. She was wondering where one of her colored pencils went. She looked around. Light Lavender. Where was it? Her favorite color, too! That one just had to fall out of the box, didn't it? She looked down near the edges of the boulder to see if she could spot the purple pencil as she remained seated.

Kairi, Kam thought. She had never heard a name such as this one. She thought it was a gentle name, a perfect fit for this particular girl.
As she glanced around, she noticed Kairi seemed to be searching for something. Kam looked down and noticed a light purple pencil, a few inches beside her left foot. She bent down and picked it up carefully.
"Is this what you're looking for?" she asked, holding out the colored pencil between her index finger and thumb. She grasped it gently, yet firmly to prevent it from falling to the ground again.

Kairi looked up at her and smiled slightly, nodding once to Kameron.
"Thanks."
She said softly as she took the pencil gently from her hand and put it back in her color box. Kairi started to finish a bit of her picture.
"And I am new here."
she said as she shaded in an area.

Kameron smiled at Kairi. "Well it's nice to meet you."
She didn't want to disturb her, but she didn't want to leave either. She didn't know whether to stay or not. So she decided to ask what Kairi was up to.
"So, you like to draw, I see? You look really good at it," Kameron complimented, nodding as she briefly viewed Kairi's current drawing. "I enjoy sketching myself, though I doubt I'm nearly as good at it as you are."
Kameron quickly scanned the woods. There was a sort of misty, hazy fog floating around the ground and weaving between the tall, gloomy trees. She then turned back to Kairi to see if she would reply.

Kairi nodded.
"I enjoy drawing. It's something I do a lot. All the time, actually."
she replied. She shifted her eyes and noticed Kameron turn to look around the woods, but she looked back down at her picture for her to not notice that she saw. Was she scared of this place? It did give you an eerie feeling every time you looked at it, or felt the air, seemingly something was lurking and watching your every movement, but Kairi learned to ignore it and go on with what she was doing. She had seen nothing come near her once. The place maybe wasn't so terrible after all? Or... was she just lucky?

Kameron took in a deep breath of the crisp foggy air. She noticed that even when there was warm, sunny weather throughout the rest of Krystle Island, this forest was always dark, chilly and gloomy. She wasn't particularly afraid of the woods, but she always got chills and an intense feeling of caution when inside them. "Do you come here to draw a lot? Or do you visit the territory as well? I know the field is a great place to sketch, and there's many other places there as well that are good peaceful places," Kam said to Kairi.
