Kameron thought about that for a moment. Normally she would have expected an answer that had to do with the many student freedoms, or the amazing school grounds--but she hadn't really thought about variety.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, now that I think about it. Of the many friends I've made near, no two are very alike. They all have their own personalities."
She thpought about some of her unique friends: Rarel, Xero, Kairi, Bloom, Maria, Ember, Kros, and the rest of the gang, including Katherine. It must be boring for the people in France, if they all are the same... she thought, then decided to ask,
"Was it boring in France, wih mostly everyone being the same?"
she asked frankly. She awaited Katherine's reply.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, now that I think about it. Of the many friends I've made near, no two are very alike. They all have their own personalities."
Katherine glanced over at Kameron slightly as she thought about the girl's reply. There were so many things different about life at Krystle Academy than back at France, which made life so much more different than before, not that she didn't miss the life she led back in her homeland. She had been more of a richer teenager.... As her parents bought her everything she wanted from little on up. It really wasn't that much of a hardship back at home, but it was different being so far away from your homeland, not really knowing anyone, while almost everyone knows of you. That part of it was quite annoying to her in her bit of time at the school. Then again, she didn't like to be picky about those things, especially around people who could make good friends. She smiled slightly, not sure what to say in reply. As she heard the girl speak again, she glanced up quickly.
"Was it boring in France, wih mostly everyone being the same?"
Laughing quietly to herself, Katherine glanced back around the room before letting her dark eyes wander to meet Kameron's eyes once more. She smiled slightly and replied quickly, "It's really not all that boring. There is just a certain way that things are taught to be done, and many people follow the proper way to live. Especially when you come from an upperclass family such as myself. It really is not that boring." She silently scolded herself for making it sound like her old life was so much more boring than the one that she was currently leading at Krystle. She sighed lightly as she glanced back at Kameron. "The only real difference is that there is a variety of people from all over the place, where as in my homeland, you are all basically French." That was truly what she meant, whether she said that or not.

"That's a good thing, I guess." Pausing for a moment, Kam heard a low rumble come from her stomach. "Guess I'm still hunrgy," she said, then continued, "I always thought it would be cool to visit another country, but come to think of it, I don't think I ever have. I mean, besides this place, but nobody even knows where Krystle Island is located. We're just--here."
Kameron looked around the Dining Hall. Anyone else that was in there had left. "Excuse me, one sec," she said, standing up. She walked over to a magic sort-of "snack machine" if you could call it that. All you do is say the name of the food you want, and it will apper before your very eyes.
"Two Karamel Frogs," she said clearly. Sure enough, the two frogs of caramel appeared on the small platform in front of her, in their little boxes. She took them over to the table her and Katherine were sitting at.
"Here you go," she said, pushing one of the little boxes toward Katherine. "Have you ever tried one?" she asked curiously, wondering if Katherine had heard of the enchantment upon the Karamel Frogs.

Katherine glanced over at Kameron and smiled slightly at the girl, her mind going elsewhere. It wasn't that their conversation wasn't interesting, but she had a certain way about her that she wasn't exactly sure of. And her mind was having trouble staying in one place instead of roaming around like normal, so she had to try to get her mind to stop while Kameron decided to head up to the machine. As the girl got up, the brunette replied, "Okay.... No problem."
With a light sigh, Katherine waited for the girl to get back. She didn't know what she was doing here at this school instead of in France, but it was an okay school. She had met some people, though she hadn't really talked to anyone like she had talked to Kameron right now. That was fine though. Even though she liked to be popular, she could deal with herself becoming a bit of a loner sometimes, not really though, as she always had her friends back in France to back her up. Katherine smiled slightly as the girl came back, eyeing the package. She picked it up slightly and looked at it, noticing it contained caramel. She frowned slightly, "No.... Never tried one. But that would be because I'm allergic to caramel." She pushed the frog back towards Kamerons quickly, "Sorry."

When Katherine pushed the Karamel Frog to Kameron, she could tell that her face fell, and it was noticeable. "Oh," she said. "Well, there's an enchantment on each and every one, and when you open the box, the frog comes to life. You have to catch it in order for the enchantment to be broken," she said. But instead of opening one, she shoved both into her pocket, because she didn't want Katherine to have an allergic reaction or something. But she was still hungry. She decided her stomach could wait, though.
"So... who else have you met here at the academy, besides me?" she asked curiously, awaiting Katherine's repsonse.

Katherine felt really bad giving the frog back to Kameron, but she didn't want to have to bother eating one and then getting sick from it. She shrugged slightly as she heard the girl's voice. "I think I've heard of them though.... Of the enchantment I mean." She smiled once more to the girl, a sort-of appologetic smile. She didn't mean to hurt the girl's feelings, but it wouldn't have been safe for her to eat it. As she watched the girl put the frogs in her pocket, she spoke up, "You can still eat one. I'll only have a reaction if I eat one...." The girl looked hungry, and Katherine didn't want to be rude or anything. She wasn't really hungry anyways.
Katherine smiled back at Kameron slightly before she thought about it for a moment. Who else had she met?? She had met a ton of people, though she didn't know any names or anything. She wasn't exactly sure who exactly all she had met, but she didn't want to bother with that at the moment. She spoke quietly, her hazel eyes meeting the Kameron's for a moment. "Ummm.... I have met a lot of people. I just have not really talked to most of them. I really don't know all of who I met already." She really wasn't worried about it for the moment. She would learn to live with it if the need arose. She didn't care about that as much at the moment. If there were people that she wanted to become friends with, she would learn about them and try her best to become friends with him or her.

"That's alright, I'll save it for later,"
she said, drumming her fingers on the lump in her pocket, the Karamel Frogs. She felt the conversationnow was going nowhere, and they needed a little spark to get it more exciting. But she didn't know what she could say or do.
"There's really nothing that interesting about the Dining Hall... Normally empty, unless it's meal time or a celebratory gathering."
Did I just say "celebratory gathering"? Kameron asked herself, in her head. She chuckled aloud, thinking back to the two old British women thing she had thought about a bit earlier in their conversation.
"There's a lot of other places that are more exciting. We could visit one, maybe?"
she suggested, hoping that they could go to a more interesting location to socialize, or have fun.

Katherine nodded to Kameron slightly as she glanced around the room. The girl must-have noticed that she was glancing around, since her next comment referred to the number of people that were usually there. She smiled once more before she pushed a strand of her auburn hair out of her hazel eyes. She wasn't sure what to say. She had sort-of noticed that the dining hall was extremely empty most of the day, making it an okay place to hang-out if you didn't want to be bothered. That was for sure.
Glancing back over at Kameron, Katherine nodded slightly as she thought about it. It would be nice to get out of the school.... And get to visit some places with a person that has been at the school her entire life. That was definately a plus. She decided it sounded like a good idea, to her at least. She smiled once more and replied, "Sure.... That would be nice." She didn't exactly know what else to say, so Katherine stood up, brushing off her jeans quickly. Even though she was in jeans and a cute t-shirt, she still had the air about her as if she were in a skirt or something. It really was different.

((OOC: Sorry it took so long for me to post... ))
Kameron stood up, brushed off her white prep shirt. It was a prep shirt, but not the "nerdy" kind, the "stylish" kind. She smiled.
"Alright, the choice is yours. Where would you like to go?"
she asked. Kam really didn't mind where the two visited, as long as they got out of the boring Dining Hall.
((OOC: I'm so sorry that my post is so short... I have a test to study for, so I posted as quickly as I could without making it a one-liner post.))

Jade walked into the Dining Hall ready to start term, but she decided to take a break from unpacking and grab something to eat.
