There was a flash of blue energy in the Holoroom. Xero sighed as he appeared from it as it disappated. He wore a blue crystalline-armor, making him seem like a Knight. From nowhere, he took out a black cloak, putting it back on. Once more, he appeared as he normally had before his journey. "Now... to see who else has changed in my absence. Kros and Maria have both killed themselves to become someone different... I pray no one else I knew has done thus."
Came a mocking voice from the wall behind Xero. Kros was there, his left arm now covered in the black, red-lined, evil void-like skin, all five fingers now long, sharp claws, while his elbow and shoulder now ahd thick plates of armor, spikes coming out of each, one from his elbow, and a ring around his shoulder's.
"Now that you don't have Maria to save you, I'd say it's time for some payback at the Beach."
Not even waiting for Xero's response, he activated the Holoroom, setting the ending to voice-command from him. They now stood on a barren field with volcanos in the background.
"And I'd say it's time someone taught you some manners, Shifter." Xero said, facing him. "I warn you: I shall not hold back, for revenge, especially when it's to pay someone back when they saved another from your arrogance, can not stand against balance." He concentrated as the armor underneath the cloak tore the cloak to shreds by growing spikes. The spikes retracted into the armor, and two holes opened in the back of his armor. His skin seemed to break open, and black dragon wings grew out from his back. "I have learned my heritage, and come fully into my power. Power gained through sacrifice... is not true power."
"I already have." And with that cryptic comment, crystals spread over the ground and formed walls, making the arena into a funhouse like mirror house. These crystals couldn't be broken easily, and were see through. "Come and get me, usurper. I shall not warrant one that infests another's body to reach me without a challenge."
Rarel was going to the Holoroom to train as he always did. He'd gotten into quite a one track schedule. Every day it was the same routine now. Breakfast, class, lunch, class, dinner, training room, homework, sleep. But when he heard the sounds of battle from inside it he suddenly perked up. Perhaps things wouldn't be so boring.
He dashed to the room and as he ran heard a number of comments shouted by the two involved. One voice he recognized as Xero's, and the other he didn't know. He snorted when Xero mentioned arrogance. "Well he's a hypocrit." and Xero's following lines proved him right. How could he hear this? Well he was a half-fairy.
Rarel threw open the doors and came face-to-face with a number of walls of crystal. "What the-?" he asked aloud. He muttered a spell and flame burst from his hand. The crystals hit seemed to visibly heat, but not melt. He frowned and pondered the problem, and waited for something else to happen.
"Still using Crystals little Dragon? You should get with the times and upgrade..."
Kros replied, running his clawed hand across the crystal, the tips now a bright orange, leaving little trails in the glass that cracked and spiderwebbed. Soon, theys tarted to bubble and melt. Then, the entire pane of crystal exploded outwards, shattered pieces lying on the floor while others bubbled the mysterious orange color.
"You see, I've ALWAYS had Hatred Form. But the Demonic inside me has... Given it an Upgrade. This is now what I call, my Void form. At the moment, these claws aren't strong enough to make you bubble and explode as fast, but if I get these stabbed clean through you, you're dead. Of course, you're lucky I'm nto mad. This beautiful arm, shoulder, and part of my neck is only a fragment of it's true Form."
Kros explained, a widening grin on his face.
"But of course, I don't have to tell you this. Your crystal is a pretty good exanple on it's own."
Rarel frowned as he watched this demon remove the crystals. The half-fairy shuddered. He thought Xero was a prat, but being part fairy he had a natural aversion to demons. He shifted form to a Faerie Dragon. A dragon that seemed to be a large colourful gecko with wings. Thick antennae curled from the back of his head and a pair of transparent, dragonfly-like wings came from his back.
He opened his mouth and a burst of glittering pink-purple flames issued forth towards Kros.
Kros was silent was the flames came to his side. When they reached hitting distance, he said
"New people are so pathetic."
before letting the fire's engulf him, now rapid orange explosions from the ground circling him. When the fires vanished, Kros stood there, his head bent down. Almost instantly, his gaze was now turned at Rarel, half his face now a twisted red and black skull, with black smoke for hair. Also, his right leg had the Void Skin, his feet now clawed, while his knee now had a large spike coming out of it.
"Excuse me a moment Xero... I have to pick the wings off of an annoying bug... We can return to our fight in a moment..."
He stated, knowing that the Crystal mirrors worked both ways, so Xero was just as stuck as he was.
Turning his entire body to face the faerie dragon, he turned his head to the side, staring at it. He then raised his clawed hand, and gave the dragon a finger, taunting the dragon by waving it around.
(that was faerie fire. Increasing the demonic part of him would only of made him more vulnerable)
Rarel let out a chirrupy laugh. Then speaking through telepathy said "Oh my, a finger. What am I supposed to do? Get all angry?"
He flapped his wings and rose as high as the room allowed. Then he circled around, chasing his tail in a way. And rain started to fall in the room. Pure rain, rain that would heal Xero and all with goodness, but banish evil. Or at least make evil very uncomfortable.
