The yellow crystal disappeared as it's power was expended. In his hands, another crystal began to grow, this time white. He ran up to the hologram, not sure what to do as it grew in his hands. He jumped at it, punching at it.
Rarel returned to normal and thought for a second. He had no offensive gifts. Nothing like Xero. Of course he could shapeshift, but what good did that do him? Sometimes a great deal, but other times not so much.
"Uh I can't do anything else." he said quietly. "I'm just such... such a loser."
Xero halted in the middle of his punch, jumping away. "Here's a suggestion! Shapeshift into something offensive, like a dragon! If you're such a loser, why'd you even come here? Exactly! So help out the best you can!"
"Fairy ability for curses? Rubbish!" Xero said, his smart mouth getting him into deeper trouble. "Maybe it's the Dracon in me speaking, but I don't have a family and proud of it. Try your best, cause if you beat yourself up, you'll truly be a loser, but you'll have made yourself one!"
Rarel growled, sounding like a bombfire. The flames on him became hotter and stronger until he was blazing like an incinerator. He turned and flew at incredible speeds towards Xero. "Shut up!" he yelled, his voice sounding like roaring flames.
A silver crystalline object shaped like a feather had grown in his hands. He shattered in on the ground, and energy rushed out, hitting Xero. Suddenly, he was much faster and lighter. He jumped over Rarel,a nd ran behind the Hologram. "Come and get me!"
Rarel bashed right into, and through the hologram. The flames he'd already fired at it, plus this attack left it weakened even more, almost destroyed. The fire elemental whirled and blasted it with fireball after fireball. Even when the hologram vanished he continued firing, this time at Xero.
Xero quickly took a bunch of blue crystals from his pocket. 4 of them were round, which he threw down, creating a gush of water upwards, stoppign the fire, as he took the last one and cried, "WATER!" A gush of water shot towards Rarel.
Rarel ducked and soared downwards. Every step he took cuased the floor to melt a little and he left a scorched footprint. Nearby rocks began to melt and the heat could be felt all over the room. He was so focused on Xero, he wasn't noticing that if he didn't stop soon he could bring the whole room down by melting the supports.
