Maria smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine. No, I havent ever flown before."
She didnt want to seem like she didnt know what she was doing, so she slowly leaned forwards, letting the broom slowly move. She still hated it. It was wobbly, and unbalanced. Laughing, she said,"I guess that I dont knwo how to fly at all!"

Kameron giggled along with her. "That's Okay, I can teach you a few basic steps. Let's go back to the ground, and we'll start from the beginning." She beckoned for De to come down and help as well.
Kameron helped Maria land on the ground, still mounted on broomsticks. "Alright, now, the first step is to make sure you've mounted your broom correctly," she began, showing Maria how to stand over the broom, then relax when kicking off.
"Now you try," she said.

"Nice", complimented De, clapping. The swirl of colors was amazing. His display was all black, unlike Kameron's colorful one. De was shocked when Maria came flying by on a broom, looking very scared and uneasy. He watched as Kameron flew over, talking to the girl. Mieux then flew to the ground as Ms. Wiles motioned then to come.
De and Mieux landed with grace, a small patch of grass under them burning. Seeing that Kameron was attempting to teach Maria to fly, De hopped off Mieux, looking over at the rental brooms.
I can do better than that....
De smiled proudly, holding out his hand. Appearing in his hand was an extravagent red and black broom, with a shiny finish. The red and black swirled up the shaft like a barber's pole, and the bristles at the bottom were crisp and of good quality.
Not bad....it's been awhile since I've flown one of these, though. The ones the elves had were enchanted, as well. Note to self: learn how to conjure enchanted items...
Mounting the broom, De looked over at Mieux, who had a saturnine expression on his face. "Don't worry, Mieux. It'll only be for a little bit. Anyways, you can fly beside. De then settled himself comfortably on the broom, taking the same position as Kameron, while also finding himself staring at her.
She's so nice......
De snapped his vision straight ahead, not wanting to seem rude.

"Oh, there you are, De,"
Kam said, looking up at De. She had been showing Maria how to mount the broomstick, and had not seen him come over.
"I'm showing her how to mount the broom and kick off. But, I'm going to take a quick break,"
she said, nodding to Maria to let her know that they were taking a break.
"Hey, De, want to race?"
she asked excitedly. She rarely got to race anybody by broom, even at the Flying Fields.

De grinned, replying, "Of course. Shall I conjure up an obstacle to make things even more fun?". He looked at Kameron, awaiting her reply. "Unless, of course, you're afraid..?", De teased, hoping that it would cause her to agree to an obstacle course.
This could be fun...

"You're on!"
Kameron said, accepting De's challenge. She whipped out her wand and called out a few spells, with each one an obstacle appeared in the air. From what she created, there was a starting line, a finish line, three rings for each of them to fly through and poles to weave through.
"You're turn,"
she said, motioning for De to add his share of obstacles to the "course" if you could call it that. Everything was at least forty feet up in the air, so nothing was touching the ground. Kameron waited to see what De would add to the course.

Nice craftmanship. Better try my best...
De laughed maniacally, before closing his eyes. Concentrating hard, he took a few deep breaths. On the course, red paint-tipped spikes appeared on the inside of the rings, and large wooden shafts were added to the poles Kameron had created. Opening his eyes and pointing to the poles, Mieux flew up, letting out a great breath of flame. The phoenix's black fire ignited the shafts and the rings, creating a practical deathtrap.
De turned to Kameron, commenting, "Don't worry. The flames and spikes won't hurt us. The spikes will leave paint on your clothes and skin, and the fire will only seer your clothes a bit. They're just to show our level of skill. The first one to get to the finish wins, but, a large amount of paint or flame can cost you a win.". He awaited Kameron's approval, giving her a friendly smile.

At first when Kam took a lok at the spikes, her eyes widened and she almost backed out of the competition, even if it was just for fun. She wasn't scared of much, but the red paint reminded her of blood, and it almost made her sick, up in the air like that... but then she saw the flames, and she calmed down because her power just so happened to be fire, and flames were one of her strongest expertises. Then De told her that nobody would get hurt, though she didn't want to ruin her clothes...
"Let's go!"
she exclaimed with a grin, rising up into the air by the starting line.
"On your mark..."

De eagerly rose up to where Kameron was, putting on his competitive face. He planned to win, but, Kameron was pretty good. De would have to be at his best to overcome this opponent.
"Get set..."
((OOC: Ladies first, of course!))

((OOC: Yeah right, we'll see about that!! lol ;D))
"GO!"
Kameron took off, De right beside her as she zoomed toward the obstacle course. She was heading for the first challenge; a ring of fire. She lowered her body against her boomstick as she whizzed through the narrow ring, doing a spiral in the air as she flew. She looked beside her to see how De was doing.
