"Oh, hi, Maria. Maria, Xero, Xero, Maria," she introduced. She watched the cat carefully, for fear it paw try to harm the dragling or the egg. She stroked between Clover's silky ears.
"Well, welcome to Krystle," Kam said to Xero, turning her head back to him. She thought it'd be right to give a brief welcome to the new student. He seemed like a nice person.
"So, what're you guys up to?" Kameron asked, doing so to begin conversation.

"Reading to learn more about my powers." He said shortly, still looking at the book. He turned a page. "Well, that's interesting..." He murmured as he studied it.

"What power do you have?" Kameron interrgoted, curious to learn about her new friend's giftedness. She pointed her finger and a narrow, light flare of fire crossed the aisle, not harming anything. "Fire," she said, telling him her power.

"Crystals." He said, closing the book for a moment and sighing. He held forth one hand, and concentrated. A translucent crystalline orb appeared in his hands. "I can create all types of crystals, magical and non-magical." After it was fully formed, he tapped it twice and a light suddenly shone from it's depths. It was brighter than most lamps and flashlights. "This is the most common crystal I make... the magic is that tapping it twice turns it on or off, and it gives off a bright light. A variation of this I also make is one that changes it's light's color when you say the name of that color. This is a normal one."

Kameron studied the crystal with awe. She had never seen or heard of this power before. "Wow. Well, that's quite a new power to me. I've never seen anything like it. It's so beautiful!" Kameron looked at the crystal from every angle, studying its magnificence. She decided to learn a bit more. "How does your power benefit for you? In everyday life, in generel, special occasions... How is it useful?" she wondered. She usually asked this to new people she met, wanting to get a feel for an unknown power to her, as if she had the power herself.

"Well, there's the obvious benefits... Then there's decoration... battle crystals, which are magical and can shoot out a specific type of magic... and then theres summon gems." He concentrated as he talked, and two crystals appeared in his hand. One was a blue one, and the other seemed to gleam with an inner light. "This blue one is a Water Breaker. It's a type of battle crystal. This one is a small one, for demonstration." He took the marble sized crystal and broke it on the floor. Water flooded out, leaving a puddle he was standing in. He took the other crystal. "This is a summon gem. Most gems like this summon animals or food, but this summons one thing only." It disappeared with a flash, and in his hands he held a roll of paper towels, which he used to dry off the floor.

Kameron looked at the gems carefully. She observed the puddle of water at Xero's feet. She watched the paper towels appear in his hand. "Okay, let me see if I understand. This specific summon gem summons... paper towels?" She was a bit lost, yet fascinated at the same time. She wasn't sure if he had used the gem to summon the towels or he used some sort of other magic, and she would like to know.

"Yes. I made it that way." Xero said. "I can make specific summon gems, or general, but each can only be used once, like the battle crystals. I haven't figured out how to make those types of crystal work without disappearing or breaking. That's why I was looking at this book on magical crystals." He held up the book, finishing drying the floor. "However, I never really have the chance to practice with battle crystals.."

Kam nodded. "Well, you can always go to the Holoroom in your freetime. You can practice battling on holograms that will test you according to your specific abilities. Have you visited there yet?" she asked. She always enjoyed going to the holoroom, but she felt like hanging around the library today.

"Uhm... not yet. The Holoroom sounds like it would be perfect." Xero said, nodding. "Thank you." He turned, and then paused. "Uh, can you help me get there? I have no idea where the Holoroom is."
